I like Masks - well I like some kinds of masks. If you have ever seen a Chinese opera/Beijing Opera/Sichuan Opera you would see some incredible face paints and masks won by the entertainers.

I took this picture in a restaurant somewhere in China.
One of the truest talents is showing emotion behind a mask: Movies like V for Vendetta, and The Banquet have in my opinion some of the best action conveyed behind a mask. You can feel what they feeling or almost see their faces through the mask.

One of the powerful lines however from the Banquet was when Zhang Ziyi said "A true artist use their actual faces as a mask"...

What does that have to do with anything?

Some of us wear masks over our faces often by hiding our true feelings on the inside. This is partly a shout out to all who are sad/depressed/lonely/and even stressed (cuz that's a biggie too) try to reach out to someone today. And for those who have a gift of encouragement and listening, don't try to solve everyone's issues - just a listening ear is what many people need and crave.
