He is a "Kung Fu Master," and here she meets her match. Where Nina has fought for independence, she observes that he seems to be fighting for everyone's attention and winning it. Lonely and very frustrated, she decides to approach the interloper directly, and ultimately the ninja and the Kung Fu Master join forces. One might worry for the parents of such a duo, but in an amusing twist, the last spread alleviates any concern. Clean design with ample white space to showcase the pictures' funny details pairs well with the punchy text, making a nice package for sharing aloud. MY REVIEW ON NINJA BABY

First of all I loved the illustration in this book. Diane Goode does a great job. It was eye-catching enough that I even tried to reach out to her to illustrate a picture book for my upcoming cave series but when you get as good as Diane Goode you become as busy as Diane Goode is.

I loved the story line. Ninja baby has original content in my opinion. The story focuses on Nina and her ninja skills for a bit until a greater master kung fu baby is born then Nina is no match for her sibling. I definitely recommend picking this one up. I loved the shock value it had in the plot and also the ending leaves you smiling. The writing is very pleasant to read. It's a good find.
